Auctioneer’s Report (Will Alexander): More buyers than cows this week as the demand for milk continues to rise. David Knowles’ first heifer in the ring setting the bar unbeatably high, a lovely 30litre 2week calved non ped at £2780, heading home with John & Richard Powley.  Chris Lund, Nether Kellet showed a super heifer which was snapped up by Andrew Avison at £2700, whilst the best of Robert Sunderland’s pair realised £2500. Just a couple of cows forward, Dave Barton’s 2nd calver at £2500 and Chris Lund’s 3rd calver at £2300. Nothing under £2000, with heifers averaging £2446 and cows £2400.
