Auctioneer’s Report (Will Alexander): Another week in triple figures, with 121 forward. A mixed show, with more medium and small calves about. A run of the best from JM & AE Wallbank were in strong demand, his blue bulls £485 & £480, other strong blues £400-£430 with a few shapey smaller sorts £370-£390, the younger slightly plainer end £280-£320. Best of the Blue heifers to £410 again from Steve Wallbank, others generally £270-£305. Angus calves similar to previous weeks, £260-£290 with the stronger sorts £250-£270 with the best £430 & £435. A younger show of Angus heifers with the majority £150-£200 and the best well over at £310 from Brian Barnes. A sharper Black and White trade for the smaller sorts, whilst the stronger sorts sold to a similar trade on the week, to a top of £235, many others £120-£160, rearers £50-£80, averaging £92.
