Auctioneer’s Report (Will Alexander): The Elite Breeding Sale was another great success, a total of 48 sold to a full clearance to both ringside and online bidders. A tremendous consignment from Proctors Farms were much admired. Their best, lot 6, sired by Sportsmans Batman and scanned twins to Lyfni Droog, soaring to £3500, heading north to Scotland. Next in the ring also tipped £1000, realising £1300, carrying a single to Proctors Dingo Dollar she headed home with James Taylor, Kendal. Other best sorts £700-900, with James Sanderson peaking at £900 twice, Texel shearlings averaging an impressive £858. Beltex from the same home to £800, whilst gimmer hoggs peaked at £350 again from Proctors Farms. Haig Murrays Bleus and Rouges topped at £400 & £380, whilst the last sheep in the ring, a Blue Texel Shearling from E Mckechnie was bought online at £600.
