Auctioneer’s Report (Will Alexander): A wonderful show of heifers, a total of 9 at £2000 or more topping at £2200 from James Bainbridge, Kirkby Stephen with his 8 day calved 26 litre heifer. Richard Robinson’ best at £2150 whilst the best of Peter Swindlehurst’s quartet topped at £2100. Next draw £1650-£1950 with the plainer end less. A total of 10 cows to a high of £2020 for George Whitwell’s 38 litre 2nd calver. More Friesian cows on offer. Mike Livesey’s 2nd calvers at £1720 and £1650 whilst a 3rd calver from Andrew Balmer realised £1480.
