Auctioneer’s Report (Stephen Dennis): A much sharper lamb trade than expected with all classes 10-15p/kg more than expected. An overall average of 324.6p well ahead of other centres. Richard Black topping the sale at £186 with a 55kg Texel, EJ Ward & Son, Intack selling 45kg to £183. Best quality lambs 375-400p, the best at 411p for the prize pen of Suffolk x lambs from Frankland Farms weighing 41kg. Stephen Wilman’s first draw Suffolk x lambs weighed 52kg grossing £177.50 per head. Heavy lambs well sought after all evening often in the £160s and £170s. Light weight lambs also well sold, 35kg and 36kg in the £118-£120 range.
