Auctioneer’s Report (Stephen Dennis): The opening sale of Ewes & Lambs as expected set off at a flying trade reflecting the current confidence in the market. Richard Umpleby of Harrogate topped the sale with a Texel x ewe sucking fortnight old twins at £300 with others at £275/ family. A consignment of hillbred sheep from John Bracewell also sold well. A Suffolk x ewe with twins at £250 and Dorset x with twins at £220. Sales continue every Wednesday following calves at approx. 11.45am. Early entries requested for advertising.
