Auctioneer’s Report (Greg MacDougall): Having invested in the Beltex breed in recent years, Philip Cockett was well rewarded at The Rampage taking the day’s top price with a Beltex shearling realising £2200 purchased by Paul Simpson, Wigglesworth. Like other breeds, it was the powerful tups that sold best. A 3 shear ram from Tom Crosdale attracted plenty of interest selling for £1250 purchased by York farmer, R Wilson.
