Auctioneer’s Report (Will Alexander):Short and sweet in the dairy ring this week, with just 14 cows and heifers forward. No let-up in demand however, with the best still over £2000. David Knowles was first in the ring with his pair of 28 & 30litre heifers which set the pace of the day realising £2250 & £2150. Another duo from John Fox at £2000 & £2020, whilst Robin Jennings saw his super 9day calved 31litre heifer to the day’s top price of £2400. A few more cows on offer, a real eye catching 2nd calver from George & David Whitwell rocketed to £2350, with Richard Robinson just one bid behind with his 2nd calver realising £2320. Also at £2000, was a youthful Friesian 2nd calver from Mike Livesey.
