Auctioneer’s Report (Will Alexander): The three thousand barrier broken again, this time by David Knowles, Cragg Farm with a non-ped, sired by Alta Rouble and giving 29litres 10days fresh, she realised £3250, selling to John Lawson, Cockerham. Dave Barton, Lupton Hall just shy of £3000 at £2950 with his best, whilst a pair from John Lawson, Sweetings at £2700 & £2750. Best heifers £2400+, next bracket £2000-£2300 and those not quite up to the mark a shade less. Just the one cow, a second calver from Eddy Woodhouse realising £2500.
